Setting up a custom domain
What you need if you don't have a domain yet, and how it gets connected.
If you don’t have a domain
Tell us the name you want (like yourbusiness.com) and we’ll check availability and register it for you as part of getting your site set up. There’s no extra step on your end.
If you already own a domain
Let us know where it’s registered — Namecheap, GoDaddy, Squarespace, wherever — and we’ll walk you through the couple of settings we need changed, or handle it directly if you give us access.
Keeping ownership
Your domain stays registered in your name, under your account, at whichever registrar it’s with. We just point it at your hosting — we don’t take ownership of it.
How long it takes
Domain changes typically go live within a few hours, though it can occasionally take up to 24–48 hours to fully update everywhere depending on the registrar.
Email that stops working during the switch
If you have an existing @yourbusiness.com email tied to the old setup, tell us before we make any domain changes so we can make sure your email keeps working through the transition.
